Alliance, Ohio 44601
The people of St Paul's began witnessing the power of Jesus Christ to the City of Alliance almost 150 years ago. Started by a dedicated few the church has had numerous buildings including its current location at the corner of Union Avenue and Beech Street. The building was opened in 1975 and continues to serve as a stable center for the ministry.
St. Paul's is a community that professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The saving power of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection is the foundation of our theological expression. We profess our faith and understanding of God through the Lutheran context. We believe that our justification (the process of being made right with God) is through faith in the saving power of Jesus Christ. It is not by any work of our own, but by the love of God that we are made right and obtain access to the heavenly courts. We rely on the Holy Scriptures (The Bible) and our church doctrine to understand God's saving work in the world and how we are to live out our call as Christians.
St. Paul's is a community dedicated to caring for its members through worship, prayer, education, and community involvement. The strength of the community is the faithful believers who gather each week to profess Jesus Christ. The church is also committed to making a difference in the world through outreach programs and volunteer opportunities. We strive to live out our faith by sharing the love of God with others in a variety of way.
St. Paul's is a community that welcomes all people into the presence of God. We believe that no one is outside of God's grace. Everyone is welcome in the community regardless of age, gender, socio-economic status, education, profession, physical ability, marital status, sexual orientation, or any other boundary that excludes people in the world. We strive to tear down the walls that separate people to build a community of believers who worship God in body and soul.
We invite you to experience St. Paul's and the joy of knowing Jesus Christ!
